Academics

Find the syllabus for your age group below:

(Updated as of 3 September 2024)

Your age group for the entire Atfal year is determined by your age on November 1st, 2023.
This means if you turn ten before the Atfal year ends, but you were nine on November 1st, you will still compete in the 7-9 year old age group, including the National Ijtema.

It’s important to read all the rules and guidelines carefully. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact your local or regional Nazim Atfal or the national team at [email protected].

Closed Competitions

The following competitions will be restricted at the National Ijtema to those Atfal who came 1st, 2nd or 3rd at their regional Ijtema’at:

Nazm and Prepared English Speech.

Open Competitions

Also note that all other academic competitions are open. These include:

Tilawat, Azan, Prepared Speech Urdu, Hifz-Triathlon, Presentation competition and new individual competitions like Kasoti, Memory Test and Extempore Ahadith Challenge

If your name is not on the list and still want to be considered for the two close competitions, then please send a recording to the following email by the 10th of September: [email protected]

Hifz Triathlon

This year we’re continuing the Hifz Triathlon; combining Hifz-e-Quran, Hifz-e-Ad’iyah, and Hifz-e-Qasidah into one competition.

Check the Talim syllabus for your age group to find out what to learn. Everyone gets a prize for taking part, and we’ll award top three places based on total points. To prepare for the Quran section, use a real Quran as there might be errors in the syllabus.

Presentation Competition

This year, we are running Presentation competition at the National Ijtema.
You must submit your presentation to the following email address prior to the Ijtema with your name, region and age group:

[email protected]

For syllabus, rules and regulations, please consult the Talim syllabus files above appropriate to your age group.
