Once you’ve created your JustGiving page you’re well on your way to get started. Contact your local and regional nazim to let them know you have begun your campaign. Involve your family and get their help with ideas. And stay tuned for any regional or national events!

Be ambitious and set yourself a target of at least £1,500 to achieve Gold in the Charity Champions scheme. You have until 31st October 2026 to hit your target.

How Can I Fundraise towards my Target?

Why not hold your own fundraising event. This is sometimes the best way to maximise collections and get many people involved. Take a look below for some ideas on what you can do.

  • Arrange a day or multiple days when you will hold a car wash event.
  • Speak to the people on your street and let them know when and where to come.
  • Arrange a team to help with the set up and cleaning.
  • Charge at least £10 for external and £10 for an internal clean.
  • Allow customers to donate more by displaying a QR code to your JustGiving page on the event day.

  • Most councils, primary and secondary schools hold summer fayres. Ask the organisers if your family can hold a stall.
  • You can also request your school to allow you to hold a bake sale during your lunch break.
  • Manpower and gazebos can be provided through the regional or national team.
  • Think of food items to sell, a BBQ, drinks, cakes etc.
  • Approach your teachers to donate towards the cause.

  • Identify the most active car boot sales in your region. For example, there is one on the A3 before Guildford. They charge only £15–£25 for a pitch. All you have to do is turn up early on the day and set up your stall.
  • Ask your local majlis for a donation drive, for items people no longer need that can be sold. Collect these and sell at the car boot sale, with all proceeds going to the charity challenge.

Promote any activities you are doing amongst family and friends to get them involved and also donate towards your cause. Why not hold your own fundraising event. This is sometimes the best way to maximise collections and get many people involved. Take a look below for some ideas on what you can do.

Uganda Trip 2026

Along with the fundraising activities, a small team of Atfal may have the opportunity to visit the country in order to see first-hand the impact of their fundraising. On this trip they will get to experience life in Africa, visit the families that will benefit from the school and take part in a Charity Walk.

Prior to the trip physical donations will also be collected to give towards the school and children.

The trip will occur around October 2026 and those attending will be required to raise £1,000 each for the initiative. More details will be shared closer to the time, including the sign up process.
