This year the Majlis Atfalul Ahmadiyya UK Sadqa Appeal is supporting the Humanity First UK Gaza Appeal as part of the continuing efforts to provide relief to the people of Gaza.
How much should I give?
Giving Sadqa is a very personal matter so it is really up to you how much you can give. However, we would like to encourage Atfal to make an active effort to fundraise by reaching out to their friends and family members.
The following targets are useful as a guideline for the goals to hit:
£10
could provide an educational stationary kit for a child
£20
could provide warm durable blankets for a family
£30
could provide clean drinking water for a week for a family
£50
could provide provisions for a family for at least 10 days of Ramadan
£100
could help sustain resources for an entire classroom for a month

Atfal Ideas
Friends – Share your fund raising journey with them and encourage sponsorships. You could even encourage them to take part in the appeal as a team and raise funds together.
Family – Send regular messages with the Just Giving link to family. Get promises from each member and ensure collections.
Charity Service – Get your hands dirty by helping out friends and family. You could offer to do household chores, car washes, gardening, make a meal, etc. in exchange for donations.
Regional Initiatives
Across the country the focus is to organise and run stalls and tuck shops:
- Before, during and after Iftar (where applicable) or around Namaz.
- At mosques/local Salaat centers or other venues where activities are taking place throughout Ramadan.
- Each Qiadat is to set up their own stall or take part in a Regional stall.
- Atfal involved will get an opportunity to help set up the stall, organise and even prepare/make certain items.
The following items are options to sell at the tuck shops:
- Drinks (Cans, Juice, Protein Shakes, Milkshakes, Fresh Lemonade and more)
- Food Items (Waffles, Cookies, Baked Goods, Nachos more)
- Recipes to be shared by the National Team (Chocolate covered dates, Oreo Milkshakes, etc.)
Things to consider:
- Promote within your relevant Jamaat groups
- Get permission to set up a tuck shop table at your venue
- Print out posters to use at the location
- Donate funds raised to Regional JustGiving page
The Gaza Appeal
The ongoing conflict in the Gaza strip has created horrific conditions, with millions having lost their homes. With next to no aid being let through, much of the population is close to starvation. Thousands of infants are days away from dying of starvation and many people are losing the will to live.
Humanity First is delivering urgent humanitarian aid across North and South Gaza, providing shelter, clean water, food parcels and hot meals to displaced families as well as shelter and temporary learning spaces and much more.
